Gardner Village Take II

On Saturday I took Brooke and Gracie with us to Gardner Village and tried it again. We got Gracie a Mouse costume and she looked cute as ever! She was a very good sport.

This was Dax's favorite goat, he kept trying to feed him wood chips. Lucky the goat was nice because he kept trying to shove them in. Then he would put his face on the ground right next to theirs. Boys have no fear!

Dax loved the pigs, he kept trying to shake the cage and get them out.

Gardner Village Take I

Quinn, my long lost co-worker, said he took his daughter to Gardner Village so I thought I would give it try. It was fun they have witches set up everywhere and places to take pics. It was truely a photographers dream. Too bad Dax didn't want to have anything to do with it. He hates sitting still, he was a monkey on the move.

They also have a petting zoo, which Dax loved. As soon as I let him down he shrieked and ran after the animals. The Geese were his favorite. They were loud and kept pecking at the cage. Dax just stared at them in total confusion.

This was our family summer party at Discovery Park. The park by our house doesn't have any swings, I know what is a park with no swings! He liked them, but he cried when Landon stopped pushing him.

He just wanted to run all over the whole time, he loved the slide, we went on it about 15 times.

Car incident

Dax has officially grown out of his car. This was awhile ago, but I thought it was pretty funny. He climbed through one leg holes of his car, but his head and arm got stuck up top. After a small struggle I pulled him all the way through. He did it over and over again. He is done with toys, he just likes to climb these days!

Moab

Mike, our neighbor, got this new Ranger and convinced us to go to Moab with them for Labor Day. They brought their motorhome and we camped in our tent. We have a big enough tent that we set up Dax's port-a-crib. It worked out really well. I'm always a little skeptical about bringing Dax to things like this, but we all had a lot fun. We strapped the kids carseats in the Ranger and took them on some of the easier rides. It seemed the bumpier it got the more tired Dax got, he finally fell asleep with his head bouncing all over the place.

This is Mike driving Dax and his nephew around the campsite while we made dinner. The kids instantly stop whining when they go rides. You would never know it by their expressions but they liked riding, or they were just too scared to cry, either way they shut-up. :)

Landon and I drove through Arches, which is always beautiful, it was really windy and Dax was tired and ornery so we didn't hike any of the trails, but it was a great drive.

HUH?!

The older kids painting some rocks that looked like cookies, Dax thought they were cookies or at least looked good enough to eat.

Dax's first 4wheeler ride, he liked it. When Landon reved the engine he said "oohhhh".

Yeah, for dirt!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July in October! :) For the 4th Dax and I went swimming with Shantel, Jen and Eme! I love the pic of Dax looking in Jens bikini. They learn oh so young! Dax loves swimming even though the water was freezing.

That night we went to the Riverton carnival and watched fireworks. Dax rode on the Ferris Wheel with Shantel and dad. He didn't really care about it. He like the fireworks though, he just stared at them the entire time.

This was Eme and I on the roller coaster, but you really can't see anything. She looked scared the entire time, but then wanted to go again so I guess she like it?

Dax's first plane ride to Cali

My mom, Dax, and I went to California the day after we returned from Lake Powell, it just sort of worked out that way. On the ride there we all sat together. Dax was really good he played until the plane was ready and as soon as we went in the air he fell asleep, it was like magic!

We were only there for 3 days so everything seemed like a whirlwind, but Dax got to meet his Great Grandpa and Grandma and all the rest of the family.

This is Aunt Jackie's baby, Brock, I could'n't believe how big he is!

Grandma and Grandpa! Lorraine loved Dax, it was cute.
